Collections Specialist

We are looking for a collection specialist who would enjoy being a part of an exciting growing auction team.

Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest is looking for a Collection Specialist. This position represents the auction in a highly professional and courteous manner by ensuring that all callers, visitors, customers, and vendors are greeted professionally and efficiently, and are directed to the appropriate personnel. A hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • The primary responsibility is to collect delinquent balances on cars purchased
  • Responsible for collection of low to complex/difficult accounts and situations
  • Responsible for the research and resolution of escalated delinquent customers
  • Initiating outbound/inbound calls to customers regarding outstanding balances
  • Contacting customers to negotiate and determine reason for payment delinquency
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within stringent timeframe’s while maintaining accuracy
  • Must be self-motivated with strong decision making and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years prior collections experience
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have an ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage conflict and negotiate successful outcomes
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be professional, courteous, and have ability to work with multiple departments
  • Good written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial collections
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or applicable degree
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Lane Leader

We are looking for a detailed person who is excited to join our team and would enjoy being a part of a growing company.

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated to demonstrate excellent customer service showcasing our core value principles of consideration, cooperation, accountability, and innovation. A person that will coordinate the physical movement of vehicles through the sales lane to the block and parking the vehicle following auction. Makes and oversees the assignments of drivers, jump start/battery operators and push truck operators in promoting a smooth flow of traffic through the auctioning process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspection of support equipment for proper working order
  • Conduct pre-sale meeting with drivers identifying driver return routes, over flow areas, plan changes, etc.
  • Conduct presale walk to ensure vehicles are in assigned lane as scheduled
  • Identify and address missing vehicles, overflow areas, inoperable vehicles and other issues
  • Maintain the run list indicating vehicles with no keys, late vehicle entries, and/or late number changes
  • Respond to customer and dealer inquiries and concerns
  • Coordinate and direct vehicle movement to maintain continuous flow of traffic to the block
  • Oversee parking sold vehicles and re-parking non-sold vehicles
  • Report theft, lot damage, or any safety concerns to management
Qualifications
Education & Specialized Knowledge
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (tools, equipment)

Top and Bottom Block Clerk Positions

We are looking for a detailed person who is excited to join our team and would enjoy being a part of a growing company.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who demonstrates excellent customer service showcasing our core value principles of consideration, cooperation, accountability, and innovation. This person will be willing to follow the experienced lead of their supervisor, ensure safety at all times, and make sure that company policies and procedures are followed at all times. You will be performing initial administrative processing of vehicles being entered to the auction sale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all vehicles in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable company policy and procedures and traffic laws and regulations
  • Record lane and Simulcast bid amounts and enter customer related data in computer system.
  • Work with auctioneer to verify system information accurately represents vehicle
  • Provide assistance to auctioneer with monitor operation, information verification and bid review.
  • Operate monitor, work with auctioneer to review Simulcast bids
  • Verify vehicle run order to ensure appropriate vehicle is being keyed and sold
  • Provide arbitration and other vehicle announcements to support auctioneer
  • Verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate bid amount, correct buyer information, ect.
  • Notify manager or supervisor of customer issues or concerns or systems issues to ensure speedy resolution and continuation of the sale
  • Resolve sale price discrepancies or refer to supervisor where appropriate
  • Offer post-sale inspection (PSI) service to buyer and coordinate initiation of PSI process
  • Process “IF” sales
  • Obtain required signatures and distribute documentation for sold vehicles
  • Process bills of sale as required
  • Pick up and distribute bills of sale to the front office, when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Observe all applicable safety and health procedures

Driver & Lot Worker Auto Auction Full Time and Part Time

Do you enjoy working outdoors? Do you like cars? If you said yes then all we ask is that you have a clean and valid driving record, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and can drive a standard transmission vehicle. Your driving record will be checked. We have full and part time positions available.

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Operate vehicles (driving, parking and staging) in support of sale day events and general auction operations. Includes movement of vehicles to, from and on auction property.

  • Must be able to drive Stick and Automatic Vehicles
  • Must be able to work in hot weather and high temperatures in vehicles
  • Must have Clean Record and Valid Driver’s License
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all vehicles in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable company policy and procedures and traffic laws and regulations
  • Observe rules of the road and demonstrate courtesy and defensive driving techniques
  • Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale days
  • Drive and park vehicles on auction property
  • Drive vehicles to and from customer dealerships and other customer locations as assigned
  • Align and park vehicles in proper order as directed
  • Provide assistance in movement of inoperable vehicles when directed
  • Provide direct customer service to dealer reps, account representatives, rental agents, etc., as required

Condition Report Writer

We are looking for a detailed person who is excited to join our team and would enjoy being a part of a growing company.

We are looking for an experienced Condition Report Writer who enjoys working with cars and will conduct inspections of incoming vehicles to detect damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems; prepare and submit a report of a vehicles condition, repair / replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessment of vehicle condition upon receipt noting any damage or repair required for frame, paint, engine, AC/heater operation, radio, navigation system, tires, etc.
  • Prepare support documentation related to vehicle condition including vehicle identification data, condition description; repair costs estimates, photographs of damage
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable labor rates, parts charges and manufacturer’s updates; adhere to work instructions/procedures regarding inspections/documentation
  • Follow all applicable safety and health related procedures
  • Work with bank and factory representatives on site to ensure a quality inspection is completed.
  • Reduce arbitration vehicles and auction liability by completing thorough inspections.
  • Assisting with company Pre-and Post-Sale Inspections
  • Submit completed condition reports to the manager by download from hand-held device.
  • Must perform very light mechanical duties; i.e. Installing batteries, inflating tires, to pre-pare units for inspection.
  • Will order keys on units transported without keys and will maintain a chain of custody for those keys.
  • Practice and promote team work at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
Preferred Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
Specialized Knowledge
  • ASE certification or background in automotive repair, and cost estimating preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record required
  • Basic computer software skills required
  • Ability to multitask required
  • Must be detail oriented
  • General knowledge of automotive body and mechanical work preferred
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception
  • Previous body shop experience, mechanical experience, estimating experience preferred
  • Work in a variety of climates
